A practical use case for TTP is the separation of the left from the right heart chamber. Since the blood contrast bolus reaches the chambers at different points in time, those exhibit different TTP values.

Problem: The heart is beating, so the different time steps need to be registered to each other (MoCo = Motion Compensation) or the scans need to be phase synchronized to the heart beats.
Related use case: Artery-Vein Separation. The bolus peak arrives later in the veins so that those can be separated e.g. for the visualization of vein obstruction.
